LORETTA LYNN FAN WEBSITE

About Me

I have listened to Loretta Lynns songs for as long as I can remember, I've always been a country fan, if it's not country it's not music I also loved Patsy Cline and grew up listening to both of their songs. I was lucky enough to see Loretta in concert at the Chinook Winds Casino in Oregon a couple of times. It's an experience I'll never forget and would give my soul to see her again someday. Loretta and her music are one of a kind, they don't make music like that anymore. I watch all the U-tube vidieos on line that I can find and watch them over and over, never get tired of watching them and her music is played in my home all the time. I have worn out two of my DVD's of Coal Miners Daughter from watching it so many times, You would think I would get tired of it but I don't Can't put a number on how many times I've watched it!!! Bottom line is I love Loretta Lynn and her music.I'm a 66 year old woman, I have two children and 13 grandchildren. My husband, my soul mate passed away in 2006. If he would have lived we would soon be celebrating our 49th wedding anniversary this year. Like Loretta I'm also part Cherokee and Irish. My grandmother was full blooed Indian and my grandfather full blooded Irish. As the story goes, my grandfather bought my grandmother for blankets and moonshine whiskey from the reservation back in the early 1900's. They had 12 children also a pair of twins, and moved from the south, my mother was born on a reservation in Nebraska and moved to Montana via horse and wagon around 1920. Life was very rough on them from what I hear. Life wasn't much better for the eight of us kids because whiskey took over our mothers life and we were raised in foster homes and shelters. No since in complaining because life is life and I turned out all right. Never drank or did drugs and I'm proud of that, not the same story for the rest of my family. Ran away when I was 16, lived with a older brother for awhile and met and married a wonderful man when I was 18. Lived in Ca. For about 35 years then moved to Oregon for 7 or 8 years. We moved back to MT. In 2004 because my husband thought I needed to be closer to my siblings. My daughter and grandchildren also moved here in 2005 and we are very close. I'm now retired from Hewlett Packard and help my daughter 4 days a week with her daycare. My daughter is a angel, a wonderful mother and she has adopted 5 children and has 4 of her own and is raising another of my grandaughters. So 10 kids total ages 5-23 and her home is full of love.
